    A Food Centric Life is about how to cook, eat and live a healthy lifestyle. If we are going to have a healthy relationship with food, we must cook! And that is my passion: helping people learn to cook good, healthy food by sharing my recipes, tips, and techniques as well as information about health and food-related subjects. Food is not just fuel; it’s part of the fabric of life. Food is medicine. Our site is also about beautiful food photography that inspires you to get into the kitchen and cook, whether for yourself or for your family and friends. That’s why we include process and “how-to” shots along the way whenever possible. I’m a professionally trained chef and certified health coach. This blog started as a way to share my passion for cooking with family and friends. I’m blessed that my husband has the same passion for photography as I do for cooking. He shoots all of the images on this site. I am not a photographer and could never do this without him. I do the food styling for our shots but don’t have the technical knowledge that Kent does behind the camera. It’s fun for us to combine our gifts to create something to benefit you. The recipes on A Food Centric Life are mainly my own or recipes that have been adapted from and inspired by other chefs, cookbook authors, food bloggers and cooking sites. I always explain the inspiration or origination of a recipe if it’s not my own. Always credit where credit is due, thankfully, to those who have inspired me over the years.
