    Hi, I’m Annie, the author-baker-cook-photographer behind Annie’s Eats. By day I am a physician finishing up my fellowship, living and working in Indianapolis, IN. I live with my wonderful husband-taste tester-dishwasher Ben, our amazing tornado of a toddler son Andrew, and our sweet baby girl Caroline. They are the lights of my life. Cooking, baking and entertaining are my passion. About the Blog I started this blog as a hobby in the spring of 2007. It has since grown into something that means so much more to me than just any hobby, and has a following I am very proud of. I started cooking my sophomore year of college, and am entirely self-taught via the internet, cookbooks, and lots of trial and error. This blog has been a wonderful way for me to chronicle my culinary adventures and continually motivates me to improve my skills and try new things. I love sharing my cooking and baking adventures with all of you. My hope is to inspire others to be fearless in the kitchen, try new things, and most importantly, have fun doing it! About My Photography I have no formal training in photography. All that I know, I have learned along the way through practice and careful observation of other food and photography blogs. My photos were horrendous when I started the blog. Though it greatly pains me, I try not to remove too many of my beginner’s photos because I think it is important to realize that everyone starts somewhere and has the potential to improve. Through the end of 2008, I was using a Sony Cybershot point-and-shoot for all of my photos. From 2009 through late 2011, I used a Canon Rebel XTi. I have now upgraded to a Canon 5D Mark II. I have several lenses that I use for food photography depending on my needs, and I shoot all of my photos in manual mode.
