    The story began in 2011 when CEO and founder Sven Lubek built the portal browsergames.de, a space for browser-based free to play games. The site quickly achieved great success having tapped into a large demand of game developers trying to find new ways to market their games in the digital space. Hungry to grow, the founders sold browsergames.de in the same year to German media giant Pro7/Sat.1 Group and expanded their efforts to go beyond having a portal and towards building a network based on the learnings what publisher and advertises really need. Initially crobo was founded end of 2012 with a small team of only five employees, headed by Matthias Lesch and Orietta Mendez, who had set their minds to becoming the leading performance marketing company with a games-only focus. 2013 marked a period of rapid growth and development of new technological solutions. Reporting and monitoring capabilities were improved for both account managers and clients. The publisher network and media buying activities were also expanded. 2014 witnessed a major transition from browser-based service sites and games to mobile games and apps. crobo had foreseen this change and adapted fluidly while continuing to provide the high quality of service clients had become accustomed too. In the midst of all the ongoing changes in the market, the company appxpand was added to the Covus Group, headed by Dora Lakatos. appxpand was created to address the needs of the non-gaming clientele of mobile app developers and rapidly grew their business throughout 2014 to match the ongoing success of crobo. In 2015 appxpand and crobo were merged together under a new crobo brand, spearheaded by the rekindled leadership of founder Sven Lubek. The shared vision is to unify the resources and network of appxpand and crobo while consolidating technologies, employees and knowledge to become a worldwide leader in mobile performance marketing. With a mix of highly knowledgeable mobile experts, a strong performance network as well as media buying and planning capabilities, crobo continues to be a trusted partner in mobile performance marketing for advertisers worldwide.
