BluegrassMMA covers the Ohio Valley regions local MMA scene. We strive to help put the fighters on the national scene by giving them a media outlet to tell their stories and give them exposure.

We started out in our home state of Kentucky in 2011 and have since expanded to cover local and regional MMA in the following states, Indiana, Ohio, Western Pennsylvania and Tennessee.

    BluegrassMMA is the largest local mixed martial arts news website in the Midwest. Covering the Ohio Valley regions local MMA scene, the goal of BluegrassMMA is to help put a spotlight on the fighters stepping inside the cage. Starting in January of 2011, Gary Thomas and a close friend started BluegrassMMA out of initial love for mixed martial arts. Soon after, they started to focus on the sport in their home state of Kentucky. It was not until May of 2012 did Bluegrass start covering the local and regional MMA scene throughout the Ohio Valley region. BluegrassMMA now covers the sport, from interviewing fighters to event results, in six different states; Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania.
