    Hello! My name is Jennifer and I am currently an Interior Designer in North Carolina. I knew early on in my life that I loved design. However, when I got to high school and it was time to choose a college, I was still so young (only 16 when I graduated) that the idea of choosing what I would do for the rest of my life seemed ludicrous. I scoured the catalogs of all the affordable state schools (the idea of paying for out-of-state tuition when I wasn’t 100% sure what I wanted to do with my life also seemed ludicrous) and finally settled on the local state college majoring in Engineering. When I finally graduated from college with a degree in History (don’t ask), I set off into the world looking for my dream job. I soon realized that job was not going to be found in the small area of South Carolina where I lived, so I signed up with a temp agency. They placed me in a role as a desktop publisher and the rest is history… As I worked out in the real world and got older, I became more exposed to the world of design. This is mostly because I watched HGTV… a lot. With time, I developed my own tastes and learned more about what interior design really is (and it definitely is not what you see on TV). I had, by this time, been working in the Desktop Publishing/Graphic Arts field for the better part of ten years. I decided then that if I was going to sit in a cubicle for the rest of my life, I should be doing something that I love… something that I’m passionate about. So, I decided to return to school. It’s a decision that I couldn’t be happier about and I wished I’d done it sooner! I graduated with a degree in Interior Design in 2010 and worked as an Interior Design assistant for a few years. With that experience under my belt, I’m excited to embark on this next chapter of my life on my own while blogging about it along the way! I hope you will join me on my journey!!
