DUCKS UNLIMITED BEARDS FOR CONSERVATION

Grow Your Beard to Show Support for Wetland Conservation this Season!

Are you a passionate waterfowl hunter and conservationist? Do you take pride in growing your beard during hunting season? If so, we’ve got an app just for you. This season, you can grow you beard and support wetland and waterfowl conservation at the same time through the Ducks Unlimited Beards for Conservation program.

New for 2014: Raise money for Ducks Unlimited directly through your profile for a chance to win great prizes!

Participation is fun, simple and free:

Step 1: Download the free mobile app.

Step 2: Launch the app and register.

Only your name, email and home state are required to register. If you already have a My DU account, you log in using this information.

Step 3: Choose your favorite DU conservation priority area (optional).

Select one of five conservation priority areas where DU works. This will appear on your personal webpage and profile and will help raise awareness of DU’s work in this region.

Step 4: Grow your beard!
Use the mobile app to take a photo of your beard on a regular basis and upload it to your profile to show the progression of your beard. Once your photo is approved, it will appear on your personal webpage on the DU website in chronological order.

Step 5: Share, share, share!

Share your profile and beard photos with friends on Facebook and Twitter. Encourage them to “like” your profile or make a donation to DU through your campaign.

Step 6: Win prizes!

Throughout the program various prizes (coolers, duck decoys, DU merchandise, etc.) will be awarded at random to show our appreciation for your efforts! Additional prizes will be awarded to the five participants who raise the most money through their campaign.

When you sign up for the program, a web page will automatically be created on the DU website that features your profile and lists all of your beard photos in chronological order. You can then share this link with your friends via email and social media and encourage them to “like” your profile or donate.
