Old school

The app is okay, but could use an update, there are a lot more school to be added to the database. Please keep updates coming.

Least improved app.

This app stinks. The rating system is all smoke and mirrors and when I asked for clarification on the ratings they pointed me to the same page I was asking about. There is no transparency of the ratings and there is no way to just get a rating based on test scores and not the adjustment factors.

Useless

Every time you reset the map area you lose your filters. How could they think this app was ready for release?

Info useful, app poorly designed

I see the same problems I have with the app reflected in other reviews that are 3 years old... The filters need resetting every time you move to a different area of the screen, no info listed for many of the schools where there is info online on the full site, frustration over having to hit search each time I want to check out a different area on the map... Clunky app.

Helpful but flaky

Great info, but the search and filter features need help. When you apply the filters, it loses what you selected if you redo your search in another or larger area. So frustrating to have to keep setting.

Disappointing

I was hoping to be great schools app allow me access to some of the better features of the website. Being map based I expected it to incorporate things like school district and zone boundaries bit it does not. Negative complaints about the app from two years ago are still present such as needing to tap a button to re-search and losing filters. More importantly, map view info of schools changes with map refreshing, and if overlooked, provides false great schools community ratings. Lastly, there are no external links for additional info that is absent from the app. I could go on, but as I already uninstalled the app since it didn't meet my needs it seems like a waste of my time. For most people I would recommend skipping the app and using the full website. I would only recommend the app to those who want to quickly find schools without more info such as realtors or limited bandwidth.
