The aim of this blog is to share our experience about our daily life in Cape Town and surroundings. Reviews will be based on food, art, events, fashion, shopping, and sometimes traveling. We’d love hearing from you as well, so feel free to share your point of view, comment our posts or tell us about a new place. Nathalie is a French photographer living in Cape Town. She grew up in Italy, France and Western Africa, so got the traveling bug from a young age. So what’s with the food? Well, she was surrounded by two loving parents hooked on cooking, and a mother excelling in French pastry, making her quite a hard critic when it comes to fine cuisine… She loves cooking Asian, French, Italian and is experimenting a lot in the kitchen at the moment with Jean-Marc. Don’t worry, recipes will be shared on the blog. Apart from cooking, Nathalie loves wildlife, food photography and photojournalism. Feel free to ask her about some hot safari spots, it will be her pleasure to answer all your questions. Jean-Marc Lederman is a French photographer established in Cape Town since the 90′s. He was born and raised in Paris in the fashion industry with a top model mother and as part of the Celine family. He left Paris for L.A in the 80′s and then went back to Paris to study architecture at Les Beaux Arts. Even though Jean-Marc always loved photography, his passion for fashion photography started when he moved to N.Y.C assisting some of the top photographers. He started his career in the industry in Barcelona and Athens until he came to Cape Town where he decided to settle down and shoot for the top local magazines and retailers. But for a Parisian something was missing in Cape Town, which is the reason why he decided with a friend to open the first coffee shop in town: Le Petit Paris on Greenmarket Square and later on Le Riviera in Hout Bay. His passion for design and architecture pushed him to open Le Bazaar (furniture shop), and design his house Le 12 in Llandudno featured in books and international magazines.
