    Hi there and welcome to Learn with Play at Home. I am Deborah (Debs). I am currently on family leave from Primary School Teaching (BEd) to be home with my bright, imaginative and active 4 year old, Maddie, and my busy, curious little toddler, N. We live in Melbourne, Australia. I started this blog for a number of reasons: To help other parents/carers find easy ways to keep their kids entertained and learning at home To share handy tips and suggestions based on my experience and education to help get the most learning out of regular fun! To demonstrate the importance and value of Play Based Learning To document the everyday activities we get up to and as a portfolio for my return to teaching To keep up to date with Early Years education, further my own knowledge, write activities also suitable for the classroom and to connect with others in the same profession PR/Advertising Learn with Play at home is a blog written by Aussie Mum of 2 and teacher-on-leave, Debs. It has been lovingly created to assist parents and caregivers in finding new and interesting, hands-on activities and ideas to keep their children entertained. As an added bonus, Debs shares her teaching knowledge via Handy Tips on how to get the most learning out of each activity, making it a popular and widely used resource for teachers as well. The main readership of Learn with Play at home are college educated females aged between 20-50.
