About

The University of Leicester Students' Union is the students' union of the University of Leicester. Every student at the University of Leicester is a member of the students' union.

We work to achieve the advancement of education of students at the University of Leicester by:
• Promoting the interests and welfare of students at the University of Leicester during their course of study
• Representing, supporting and advising students
• Being the recognised representative channel between students and the University of Leicester and any other external bodies
• Providing social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities
• Providing forums for discussions and debate for the personal development of its students

We are led by five elected students; supported by hundreds of part time student officers, staff and volunteers; who work full time to ensure an exceptional student experience.

The Union building offers shops and bars which raise money to make sure that we're able to do all of these great things working together as students.

As an independent organisation representing 22,000 students, we provide a host of services and opportunities to inspire and entertain you. We support almost 200 societies; we campaign about issues that matter to you; we care about your safety and welfare; we help you boost your CV. Our mission is to ensure that your experience at the University of Leicester is the best it can possibly be. In fact, we want your experience to be exceptional.
