Banner Advertising To Whom It May Concern, September, 2013 My name is Jason Bursick and I am the Athletic Director at Maurice J. McDonough High School in Pomfret, Maryland. As the Athletic Director and a previous three sport athlete in high school, I realize how important involvement in school activities can be at helping our students maintain a healthy and active lifestyle during their time at McDonough. In my opinion, it should be the goal of our administrators, teachers, coaches, and club sponsors to motivate our students to be as involved in this high school as much as possible. The more they are involved in, the more pride they will take in their school. In my opinion, this can only make our students, and ultimately our school, a more successful institution. I also realize the importance and impact that our community can have on the students at McDonough High School. As an educator, coach and an administrator for the last thirteen years in this county, I realize how essential it is to maintain effective communication with the parents/guardians of my students. Each year, the families I have developed a relationship with have provided the backbone of what has inevitably turned out to be my most successful students. My vision for the 2013-14 school year, as well as the many that will follow, is to establish an effective partnership between the community and the school. I am positive that our relationship will help to ensure the success of the students in our school and help transition them into our society and possibly your place of higher education or employment.
