In 2001, the former Victoria County merged with all 16 townships inside its borders and the City of Kawartha Lakes was born, so we evolved with it, changing our Lindsay This Week and its sister papers -- the Bobcaygeon Independent and the Fenelon Falls Gazette -- to one title of Kawartha Lakes This Week in 2004. The Brock Citizen came aboard in 2000, then two years alter we launched The Kawarthan to reach our lakeside readers. It has since grown into a glossy magazine with a loyal following. In every market we serve, our talented team of award-winning journalists crisscross the city, searching out all manner of stories and images to keep our readers up-to-date and well-informed. Our community information portal, www.mykawartha.com, adds an entirely new dimension to our information delivery choices, making news information available at any time, in a variety of platforms including video.
