    Hi! I’m Deryn! Thanks so much for stopping by Running on Real Food. I started this blog in January of 2013 so I could share my experiences in healthy eating and fitness, and to motivate and inspire a healthy lifestyle in others. I’m a graphic designer and I live in Vancouver, BC with my husband and our two dogs, Domino and Benny. I’ve always had a passion for health and fitness. I grew up with competitive swimming, I’ve competed in many triathlons, plenty of races, Tough Mudder and even an all-female strength competition. After university, I decided to pursue a career in fitness and I became a certified personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. I’ve also completed many courses in nutrition and sports conditioning. Although I don’t work in the field anymore, I still love sharing my knowledge of health and fitness with others. Fortunately enough for me, a healthy lifestyle was instilled in me at young age and I know it will always be a part of my life. I love feeling strong and fit and fuelling my body with healthy foods. I aim to sweat everyday, whether it’s a WOD at my CrossFit gym, a jog on the seawall or a hike on the North Shore mountains. Currently my main form of fitness is CrossFit, but I also run, mountain bike and practice yoga at home. Other than cooking and training, I love to read, travel, see live music, explore Vancouver and spend time with my family whenever possible. I hope you enjoy my workouts, recipes and ramblings.
