    My name is Lydia Walshin. In my log house kitchen in northwest Rhode Island, I write about food, teach cooking classes, and run a nonprofit organization. For the past 20 years I've been a food writer, but I've been a writer, mostly for nonprofit organizations, for my entire career. I've been writing The Perfect Pantry® since June 2006, and Soup Chick® since February 2010. I'm the founder and director of an organization called Drop In & Decorate.
