In 2005, I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to attend the University of Utah. I have since graduated from the U in elementary education. I currently live in Ogden, Utah. I teach 4th grade at a charter school. This is my third year teaching. I have an education blog called The Learning Effect. I love blogging and started back in February of 2009 with Real Simple Saving Methods. That blog became way too much work when couponing exploded into a new way of life for many. I became uninterested in what I was doing and felt like there was way too much competition out there, always posting the same content as me, therefore not making my blog unique. In April 2011 I decided to begin blogging on The Nest Effect because I knew I had so much to share {about anything & everything} and wanted to feel like I could post about whatever I want. The Nest Effect is such a blast to write because my readers are amazing and keep me inspired. I never feel like my writing is a chore; I love doing it. I only post what I want to and keep it real 24/7. Some facts about me: My birthday is July 14 & I'm 26 years old. I attended the University of Utah. I grew up near Scranton, Pennsylvania. I am a huge Green Bay Packers fan. I love photography. I absolutely love color, but don't have a favorite - I love them all and sometimes favor more over others, but it always changes. My home is splashed with bright, vibrant colors - I can't wait until I own a home some day so that I can paint the walls. I have always been into organizing and cleaning since I was young. I especially love organizing and cleaning when it's not my own space. A dream of mine is to have my own business during the summer (while school's out) as a classroom space planner, showing teachers way they can better organize their classroom. Teaching isn't just a job for me - it's a huge part of my life, and the paycheck just goes right back into my classroom. I love what I do and can't imagine doing anything else.
