Tips for Family Trips is family travel blog where we believe that travel make families stronger, smarter and happier. Tips for Family Trips was founded by Allison Laypath in April 2012, and Katie Baird joined the blog as a co-writer and partner in 2013.

Allison lives near Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband and two children, ages 10 and 8. Katie lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and five children, ages 3 to 14. Our combined experience covers large families and small, infants to teens and east coast to west.

We enjoy all types of travel, but we especially enjoy outdoor and educational destinations. We feature National and State Parks, Family Reunions, LDS Travel and Travel Tips pages, in addition to pages for each state and country.
