Arthur Seaton Founded The Seaton Post in September of 2012 with the hope that he could reach more Americans and inform them about the fact that their rights are being slowly taken away by an ever growing and intrusive government intent on controlling every aspect of the lives of ordinary Americans, to the point of dictating what products they must purchase, whether they can afford or want that product. Art Seaton is 53 years old. He was born and raised in Tampa, Fla.. Art was the oldest of seven children. His mother was a stay at home wife and mother, his dad worked as a warehouse manager and sang in a country music band. Life was not easy but his family was close and his parents outstanding folks. Art dropped out of high school before graduating to work and help his family after his father became ill. After his father recovered Art went on to get his GED and a degree in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. He worked in residential and commercial A/C and Refrigeration along with repair and installation of restaurant equipment. He worked in the industry for thirty years. He excelled in his career working long hours in frequently less than desirable conditions; air conditioners always stop functioning on the hottest of summer days, and heat on the coldest. He worked on units on roofs where it was not uncommon for temperatures to be over 120 degrees and on heating units when the daily high was 20 degrees with a wind chill of 5. He stayed up half the night repairing and installing restaurant equipment…restaurants don’t shut down to allow repairs and installations most of the time. It was not uncommon to see him come in completely exhausted after working a seventeen hour day, and depending on the weather, he was either dehydrated or ice cold after long hours of exposure to the elements. I never, in our twenty-five years of marriage heard him complain. As a matter of fact, the harder he worked, the more he enjoyed his job. He always enjoyed a challenge. Restaurants in the area requested him. They trusted and respected him. Art also obtained a Commercial Drivers License after feeling that a change would be good. As his wife, I can say that both of us have an immense respect for over the road truckers, their job is difficult to say the least, driving long hours, often going without decent food and getting little sleep to get their product to it’s destination. Americans owe OTR truckers our gratitude for their dedication, which often takes a serious toll on their health. Art’s health began to decline in 2007. In 2011, he underwent surgery to remove a pancreatic mass. He is now in the hardest battle of all…the battle for his life. Hospice has stepped in to assist him with his pain. He created this site to remain active and to continue
