After years of designing and making clothes for myself and a select group of clients I started doing some interior design work. At the same time my husband Steve, our son Brian and I opened an off premise catering company “Affairs to Remember Catering” in Palm Beach, Florida; leaving me little time for my art but finally using my skills as a trained chef. After sixteen years of devoting time to our busy catering business I decide to diversify and began designing and making jewelry; which I still do but more as a hobby than a business. Then a couple of years later Hurricane Wilma forced the family into early retirement. Now I spend my time blogging, cooking, photographing food and writing a cookbook and memoirs. And just because I have nothing else to do and I thrive on being busy I started teaching “hands on” cooking classes in my home or yours. These are intimate classes where you do the cooking and learn techniques with my guidance. Afterward you get to enjoy your lesson by eating the food you have prepared. I am also getting ready to launch my new Dinner Party. Basically it will be a Prix Fixe dinner for eight guests in my very artsy, colorful and fun home where I do all of the cooking and serving. The only thing my guests have to do is enjoy the food, ambiance and camaraderie. Oh and pay the bill of course.
