Publisher: The Princess, A Lord and A Country Rock Star - Modern Mummy Mayhem

Me: A psychic told me a few years ago that I was going to become a writer. I enjoyed writing but that was in notebooks at home, not for the world to read. I actually thought she was confusing me with someone else and went on to encourage that person no end to start writing…even bought them a Mills & Boon novel to spark some creativity. It didn’t. A couple of years later I landed myself one of those ‘high needs’ babies with infant reflux and found myself walking down a really long dark tunnel, barefoot on sharp stones. There was a light down the end somewhere but I kept tripping on those stones and getting back up was getting incredibly hard. ENTER my husband. He once said, you will get through this, maybe even write a book about this and help others. Well book this blog is not, but it did spark something in me. So Modern Mummy Mayhem was born. I am an almost 37 (GASP) Modern Mummy with three children. Ages 11, 9 and 3. The younger two kids both have suffered with gastro oesophageal reflux disease and it is really tricky at times. Actually…it can be down right depressing and many people just do not understand it. We live in country Queensland and whilst we don’t have all the conveniences of the big smoke, there are some great benefits to living out here. ie. parking right out the front of your preferred store and the silence at night. You do however spend a lot of time in the post office que waiting to collect parcels from the online shopping experiences that one is forced into due to lack of retail. But hey…I quiet like a little online shop. Why I Blog : I started writing this blog to find myself but more and more I write this blog so that others can relate. I write this blog because I believe women need to see honest and un-staged depictions of how life truly is. I write this blog so that others don’t feel so crazy, mad or depressed about the challenges parenting makes us face. I write this blog to regain some sanity myself at times. I write this blog to sometimes share wonderful things I have discovered and sometimes offer my readers a prize or two. I can be funny, I can be cranky and at times I can be deep, but that’s how life is at the moment or is that just me being woman? My Dreams : I want every woman that visits here to feel at ease with who she is and to deeply believe she is doing the best she can. She is never a failure, she is a beautiful human charged with a HUGE job. Most of all I want her to know that here on this blog, she is respected and loved, because at the end of the day, she will SHINE with never ending understanding and support.
