    About I am Amy S. When I got married, I was already an Amy S. Then I married Josh S. and after much deliberation and gnashing of the teeth, changed my name. Legally, I am Amy S.S. Which sounds all feminist and empowering, but really just makes my initials ASS. I am the Queen of the Incompetent Cervix, which means my cervix wants to expel babies in the second trimester. We stop it from doing that with stitches, otherwise known as a cerclage. I had an emergency cerclage with Jack and spent four months on bedrest. I had a preventative cerclage with both Emmie and Maeve and didn’t spend any time in bed.
