Published since the early 1970's, The Columbia Chronicle is considered the highest rated collegiate newspaper of its kind. In addition to being named the #1 weekly college newspaper in the country by the Society of Professional Journalists, its editorial and visual content has consistently won awards and honors from highly-respected institutions such as the Illinois College Press Association, Associated Collegiate Press, Society for News Design and the College Newspaper Business and Advertising Managers, Inc. (CNBAM).
Divided into six sections—Campus, Metro, Arts & Culture, Commentary/Opinions, Sports & Health and Multimedia (online)—The Columbia Chronicle provides a wide variety of appealing content and news to engage a range of interests and personalities.
We print 6,000 copies every Monday during the Fall & Spring Semesters. It is available in the lobby of every building and in 30 outdoor stands throughout the South Loop. We also deliver to 275 businesses throughout the Chicagoland area.
