    If you want to learn how to care for, style, and maintain your African American hair, this is the website for you. I am taking this journey with you. I started this website to educate myself and others who have been struggling for years to grow healthy black hair. It is not easy finding the solution for growing and maintaining black hair. I came to find out that there are many mixed views of what products to use and not use. One thing I do know for sure, is that our hair needs moisture to reveal its beauty. Therefore, that’s why I refer to black hair as “thirsty roots”. My goal is to teach myself and others about our beautiful black hair and to have a place where we can come together to get examples, advice, and information of black hair care, growth, and hairstyles. Whether you have permed, pressed, or natural hair its still black hair. I do not like the popular misconception that black women can not grow long hair. Every other race can grow long hair just fine, so why not us? Also, I do not like the ignorance that most of us (as in African American people) have about how to treat our hair. We are beautiful people and we need to know, and let our children know, that we have beautiful hair, in its raw form, and we just need to learn how to let it out. I just believe that many black people judge our own hair by other culture’s standards. It’s time to reclaim the beauty that God has given us, because my hair is not a mistake. “Good Hair” is “Healthy Hair”.
